Keble College, Oxford
Hilary Term 2026 follows an exciting autumn with the new cohort of undergraduate and graduate singers now fully settled into choir life, working in Keble's beautiful and unique chapel.
In addition to all the regular services, everyone has been busy and enjoying, three BBC broadcasts, a CD recording and preparing for a choir tour to America at Easter. There is also to the annual Keble Early Music Festival to look forward to, taking place from 24th-28th February. On the Wednesday Keble's Graduate Choral Assistants will present their own vocal showcase at 1pm and on Saturday 28th February, the Festival culminates in a performance of Bach's St. John Passion.
Continuing Professional Development
I have recently attended a fascinating online session with Ken Bozeman introducing the new edition of his book: Practical Vocal Acoustics. I also have other short courses lined up, one on The Neuroscience of Speech and Song with Dr Michel Belyk and another on The Pedagogy of Vibrato: Integrating Science and Studio Practice with Dr Justin John Moniz. It is wonderful to explore new ideas and insights with esteemed colleagues from different fields of research.
